Patient-Centered Care

The patient as a person is at the core of all medical decisions.

The patient as a person is at the core of all medical decisions.

Prof. Feigl bei der Sprechstunde

The physician’s ability and trustworthiness along with a patient’s trust in the hospital where the treatment is carried out, are decisive components of the treatment’s success.

Everyone has the right to a detailed consultation about the medically possible therapy options according to the latest scientific knowledge, as well as to personal care and comprehensive, well-coordinated treatment for his or her particular clinical picture.

Patients must be involved in all important decisions regarding their treatment and their requests must be respected.

Personalized Care for Every Patient

„My focus is not on what is feasible with state-of-the-art medical technologies that are available today, but always on my patients as human beings and on showing empathy for them," states Prof. Feigl.

Prof. Feigl, Sprechstunde, Patient

In addition to the human aspects of every treatment, Prof. Feigl’s primary goal in a necessary neurosurgical operation is to preserve and, if possible, even improve the patient’s quality of life. On the one hand, he achieves this through many years of experience and, on the other hand, by using the most modern surgical techniques. Latest technologies enable precise localization of the brain’s functional areas in the case of brain tumors, for example, which leads to a significant decrease in risk during surgery and facilitates improved functional preservation.

By using minimally invasive techniques in all neurosurgical procedures, Prof. Feigl achieves a minimization of surgical trauma, which means that there is significantly less planned “concomitant injury” caused by the procedure, such as skin incisions, skull bone openings, etc. This has great advantages for patients: wounds heal more quickly, hospitalization is much shorter, and patients can thus return to their normal lives more quickly.

Right from the first contact of a patient or referee with Prof. Feigl, the focus is on competent, individual and professional medical consultation. To ensure the best possible medical care, a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art diagnostic as well as therapeutic procedures and research are available.
