It all began in December when I was experiencing recurring headaches, prompting me to consult my general practitioner.
Upon receiving the results from the MRI, my general practitioner diagnosed me with a pineal cyst.
By mid-March, I had continuous headaches, and pain medication was ineffective. After an examination at the university hospital, I was informed that the cyst was not the cause of the headaches and was advised to see a neurologist for further treatment.
Our general practitioner scheduled an appointment for me at the Neuronetz Bamberg. Through fortunate circumstances, I encountered the neurosurgeon Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl there. Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl did not rule out the possibility that the cyst could be the cause of the headaches and also informed me about the risks associated with the cyst if it were to grow larger. As I was unsure about undergoing surgery, Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl gave me time to consider and arranged further examinations with a neurologist, endocrinologist, and a specialized eye doctor to rule out other potential causes.
All findings were normal. After careful consideration, I, along with my parents, decided to proceed with the surgery.
Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl planned and successfully performed the surgery with his team. I received excellent care from both the medical and nursing teams, and there were no complications. I am recovering very well. Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl was right; my headaches are gone. The fact that I ended up with Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl was an absolute stroke of luck for me. We highly recommend Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Feigl and his team for their outstanding care.
